Microsoft Showcase School

Here at Ōpaheke School, we are proud to have been recognised as a Microsoft Showcase School since 2015.

The Microsoft Showcase School program is a school transformation program and a global community of pioneer schools around the world. The program is an opportunity to engage with Microsoft and like-minded school leaders around the world. Showcase Schools are recognised for creating student-centered, immersive, and inclusive experiences that inspire lifelong learning, stimulating development of essential future-ready skills so students are empowered to achieve more.

Participation in this programme allows us to connect with expert others from around the world. Learning from others gives us a clear sense of what the path ahead might look like. We can also access high quality professional development in the form of online courses and connect calls but also at face-to-face events, such as workshops and conferences. The connections we make strengthens our teaching practice and often leads to rich, collaborative experiences for our students.
